Filiberto Zanella has performed twice in Argentina. During his first visit to Buenos Aires and La Plata, he presented a program composed of Hispanic authors, as well as music from Chopin and Busoni. He was so highly acclaimed that he was invited back to perform again the following year. During the second visit he performed in several different cities: Cordoba, Rosario, Bell Ville, Mendoza, San Juan (city with the best concert hall in Argentina), and of course in a grand gala evening at the Colon Theater of Buenos Aires.
This very successful repertoire included Ginastera and Liszt. During the same tour he was also a guest at Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), Porto Alegre, Novo Hamburgo, and Caxias do Sul--leaving vibrant and highly acclaimed performances behind him. As a conclusion to this grand tour of South America, he also performed in the city of the famous writer (also present during his performance at the Heredia theater) Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Cartagena. Always performing songs of greater difficulty like the "Fantasia Baltica" of M de Fall and “El Salňn México” of A. Copland. He literally enchanted the audience at the sold out venue.
